I am starting a reading group to examine existentialism as a philosphy and its place in today's world. Sartre wrote in a very different time, and I think it would be interesting to discuss how his philosophy can be adapted to better fit today's pertinent struggles. We will start with Kierkegaard but treat him rather summarily as the main focus will be on Existentialism as a Humanism, and Being and Nothingness. Let me know if anybody is interesting in joining. The group will meet in San Francisco. Times and dates have not yet been set up, so let me know what times work. Thank you.
